Relay Team Information

The information below applies ONLY to those schools which are full team qualifiers. Due to space constraints, this competition is limited to full team qualifers only.

Each eligible school (regional champion or full team wild card selection) may enter
- FS Relay Team I - a four-person team at the frosh-soph level consisting of two freshmen and two sophomores
- FS Relay Team II - a four-person team at the frosh-soph level consisting of two freshmen and two sophomores
- JS Relay Team I - a four-person team at the junior-senior level consisting of two juniors and two seniors
- JS Relay Team II - a four-person team at the junior-senior level consisting of two juniors and two seniors
Be sure your students know whether they belong to Team I or Team II for your school. The relay has the most complicated format of any of the competitions.

This competition takes place during the Competition C time-slot. Those students participating in the 2-person team competition are not eligible for the relay competition.

The four members of each team must be seated in order from front to back (i.e. student 2 behind student 1, etc.). Teams from the same school should not be sitting in close proximity of each other. Students should look at the screen in the front of the competition room as they enter for more detailed instructions about where to be seated.

Each student must bring a clipboard or heavy cardboard to write on, since not all of the seats will have writing pads.

Please make sure that your students are thoroughly familiar with the format and rules for this competition. See the contest manual for details. Calculators are permitted in this competition.

It would be wise to run through a few practice rounds using questions from previous years (which can be found in the questions archive under FSR or JSR) or some made up by you. Both questions and answer sheets are color-coded by round.
